Two Thieves In Police Uniform Captured In Niger

The Niger State Police Command has said that it has captured two theft suspects in police uniform, while working in Ungwan Liman Madalla in the Suleja Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, Shuaibu Pawa, 27; and Masaudu Haruna, 25, were captured by a group connected to the 'C' Division, Madalla, following a tip-off.

It was discovered that the suspects had before broken into the place of one Abdullahi Abubakar, a cop, and carried off his administration uniform and different resources.

One of the suspects, Haruna, clarified their method of activity hence, "We can start a theft at some random time without disapproving of what security offices can do. We burglarize guiltless individuals voluntarily and make cash to deal with ourselves.

"Once in a while, we plant spikes making progress toward cut vehicle tires so as to loot the drivers and travelers."

He admitted that they utilized toy firearms and different perilous weapons to assault their exploited people.

The Niger state Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, clarified that the suspects had admitted to the wrongdoing.

Abubakar said the agents recuperated two toy firearms, two blades and a couple of police uniform from the suspects, including that they would be charged in court soon.
