A Lebanese has been arrested for alleged trafficking of Nigerian women to s.e.x slavery in Lebanon by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP)

The Nation learned that the Lebenese that had yet to be named was arrested on Thursday following revelations from rescued Omolola Ajayi who was lured to Lebanon with deceit that she was going there to teach English.

It was discovered that the suspect's victims were also subjected in that country to labor exploitation.

Confirming the arrest, NAPTIP said it would hold a press conference on Tuesday to provide further details.

Atokolo said the agency also foiled a baby sales deal and the seller was arrested.

"At the press conference the Commander, NAPTIP Lagos, Daniel Atokolo will be on hand to clarify the facts of the case. The conference will also feature a moderated session of questions and answers with the Commander and the alleged trafficker, "said the department.
