The Number Of Political Appointees In Osun, Their Earnings Place No Burden On The Finance Of The State - Ismail Omipidan

The Number Of Political Appointees In Osun State And What They Earn Does Not In Any Way Place Any Burden On The Finance Of The State - Ismail Omipidan

Ismail Omipidan, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor of Osun state, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola has disclosed that what the political appointees by his principal in the state are earning does not in any way place any burden on the finance of the state, DaOptimistic reports.

While answering questions from journalists on the allegation that we have a large cabinet in Osun, He explained that according to the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria, a president is entitled to pick a minister from each state of the country and anything applied at the federal level is also applicable at the state level, also, he said that you must take note of the number of local government in the state vis-a-vis the population.

Omipidan was the guest at the July Edition of the monthly Media Parley organized by the Online Media Practitioners Association, the program which is aimed at bringing public servants, stakeholders in development of Osun and aspiring political office holders to narrate what they have done for the people, what they intend doing and so on.

The chief press secretary further noted that what these political appointees earn on monthly basis is nothing compared to what others earn, he also explained that if the allegation were to be correct, it would have been very difficult to cope with the salaries and entitlement of civil servants in the state including those that have retired.
