Apply for International Scholarships in Croatia with the Republic of Croatia.

For the academic year 2022-2023, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia is looking for research fellows who want to get further professional experience in Croatian higher education or research institutes to apply for Republic of Croatia Scholarships.


Applicants must be citizens of countries with whom Croatia has a bilateral agreement. The scholarship grant is designed to fund further study at a Croatian institute of choice, and it will most likely be utilized to alleviate educational expenditures.

In Croatia's government, the Ministry of Science and Education is in charge of basic, secondary, and university education, as well as research institutions and sports. The Ministry participates in the development of programs and initiatives, as well as the execution of EU-funded and other international-funded projects.


The Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia collaborates with the ministry responsible for state property management in all matters relating to the management and disposal of shares and interests in state-owned companies, as well as companies primarily engaged in activities within this Ministry's jurisdiction.

Students from the following countries are eligible to apply: Belgium (Flanders), Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany (Bavaria), Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can undertake any higher education programme at a Croatian institute of education.


Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:


Applicants must be citizens of countries (and territories) that have a valid/operational educational cooperation program with Croatia or a bilateral agreement signed by the Croatian government and the appropriate ministry of the given country (or territory).


The foreign partner institutions, i.e., the competent national authorities in charge of administering the Bilateral Scholarships Programs, must nominate the applicants.

How to Apply: Students can follow their particular universities' admissions procedures. To be considered for a scholarship, students must fill out a separate scholarship application form.


Supporting Documents: At the time of application, students must provide academic transcripts, reference letters, nomination letters, and other documents as requested by the university.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a relevant bachelor's or master's degree and complete any extra requirements set forth by the university to which they desire to be admitted.
